Chiaroscuro

Collaborative project with Photographer Carlos Maier, Food Writer Susan York author of Cupcakes and Crab Legs, and Chefs of San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. 

 

The word chiaroscuro is Italian for light and shadow. It's one of the classic techniques used in the works of artists like Rembrandt, da Vinci, and Caravaggio. It refers to the use of light and shadow to create the illusion of light from a specific source shining on the figures and objects in the painting.

25 Limited Edition print 17 x 22 inches on archivable matte paper….all proceeds benefit “Amigos al 100” in San Miguel, feeding and now clothing more than 30,000 people.
